Topan VP6 Pendant Lamp - Replica

Originally designed for hotel and restaurant interiors, the Topan VP6 Pendant Lamp was the first of Verner P.’s designs to be mass-produced. The predecessor to his iconic Flowerpot range of lighting, the VP6 features a spherical shade whose cool simplicity has proven timeless. Several were often hung together to make large spaces feel smaller and warmer, while the bright range of colours creates a cheerful, festive atmosphere in any space.

We produce the metal VP6 Pendant Lamp in a choice of vivid colours perfect for any contemporary or retro environment.

Bulb not included.

About the Designer

Verner Panton

Verner Panton

Verner Panton, born in Gentofte, Denmark in 1926, studied at Odense Technical College before enrolling at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen as an architecture student. He worked in the architectural firm of Arne Jacobsen and founded an independent studio for architecture and design in 1955. He first attracted wider attention with the geometric forms of his furniture designs for the firm Plus-linje. In the following years Panton created numerous designs for seating furniture and lighting.

Verner Panton's passion for bright colours and geometric patterns manifested itself in an extensive range of textile designs. By fusing the elements of a room – floor, walls, ceiling, furnishings, lighting, textiles and wall panels made of enamel or plastic – Panton's interior installations have attained legendary status. The most famous examples are the 'Visiona' ship installations for the Cologne Furniture Fair, the Spiegel publishing headquarters in Hamburg and the Varna restaurant in Aarhus.
